I am not even sure about that, should it not only contain the upstream DNS servers?

The resolv.conf should contain the routers IP address (if DNSMasq is active) and it does, I made a ticket:

You F-Ing broke Ignore WAN DNS well that's magical! Should learn your routers software, and settings instead of getting BS to fix DNS to your needs. It works as intended.

@egc: LAN IP/localhost is default resolver value for dnsmasq by design AFAIK.

Hmm resetted to defaults and problem is gone must be gremlins (router has not been reset in ages)

May have been a carryover from prior to webUI and other fixes, perhaps. I've not seen this when changing LAN IP on more recent builds that I recall.
