Router Name: DD-WRT
Router Model: Netgear R6400 v2
Firmware Version: DD-WRT v3.0-r40270M kongac (07/11/19)
Kernel Version: Linux 4.4.185 #670 SMP Thu Jul 11 02:19:39 CEST 2019 armv7l

I encoutered an issue that sometimes the router will suddenly get disconnected, 5G singal will disappear and 2.4G keep existing though it cannot be connected. All indicator lights look normal. And I tried using a cable to connect computer and router and found router IP 192.168.1.1 is still not reachable. The only way is to power off and power on the router.

Not sure if the hot temperature is the culprit because summer is coming. I put a USB fan besides the router but the problem occurred again, maybe it needs an air conditioner.

I want to know the details of what happened. What is the steps to check debug logs? Here I pasted dmesg output after reboot.

this build you are on 40270 Kong is very old and even if you post your serial log (not your router log) Kong is no longer on the DDWRT ship, so not much help you will get anyway...
just move on and get another build...

Better read the new builds threads...in the last 10 BS builds a lot of new development its going on, regarding vital router services and new updates, so its on you to find the best medium according to your needs... Confused Rolling Eyes

I used to have a similar problem on older builds on my R7000P, currently running build 43904 without issues and uptime is 12 days. As Alozaros suggested, upgrade and see how it goes.

I see you also have etc_attach() failed error on dmesg log, the switch is not being connected correctly by the firmware. My R6400v2 also has this problem, everything works but WAN speeds drop constantly making it unusable.

Hi, I found that's caused by hot temperature in summer. When it's too hot router will suddenly die and cannot be connected over wired cable or wireless signal though all LED lights worked.

I bought a dock with USB fan and put router on it. My router has been running for a week. Obviously the fan takes effect.
