Notes:
• r41664 or later for SFE NAT (k3.2+), KRACK (k24+), PBR+SFE, CAKE & FQ_CODEL_FAST (reset!), GTK Rekey timer fixes.
• Reset button was broken at 40571, then fixed in build r40750.
• Experimental build option for Broadcom 8MB+ K2.x devices (limited currently): broadcom_K3X_mipsel32r1
• CVE-2019-14899 VPN fix (applicability depends on VPN setup) and GUI toggle. 6920, 6928, 6931, 6932 (WIP 7040)
• In-kernel Samba has been implemented this year and default min/max versions have changed 6954, 6957, with WSD support.
• Broadcom MIPS devices are now on kernel 4.4. N66U/AC66U half memory is fully resolved.
• Local DNS option removed from Services->DNSMasq in changesets 43080 and 43081; ref: #7092
• DHCP and DNS help (English) updated in 43083; ref: #7091
• WAN lease time approaching zero bug on WRT54* devices fixed in 43191; ref: #6456
• Images for WNR3500Lv2 (BRCM NAND flash crash bug) fixed in 43219 (43217); ref: #7098
• WireGuard 1.0.20200623: PBR, Kill Switch, Inbound Firewall, Naming of Peers, Status, Key, Guides. Thanks egc!
Issues, observations, and/or workarounds reported:
• DNScrypt 1.95 can still be used in the GUI but v2 (not compatible) requires Golang and thus Entware. 6246
• WDS does not work on Broadcom ARM devices(only MIPS<->MIPS) & bridge modes on k4.4 devices may sometimes work in some configurations in certain builds but are not supported by the bcmdhd driver. Use client or repeater instead.
• VAPs not working at bootfixed for unbridged VAPs with r40564:40566.Workaround startup command:
sleep 10;stopservice nas;stopservice wlconf;startservice wlconf;startservice nas(there are a few alternatives, search).
• If start-up scripts do not work from USB add a delay (e.g. wait script or 'sleep 25').
• For Broadcom ARM devices missing 5GHz channels, via telnet/ssh: 'nvram set brcm_unlock=1' 'nvram commit' 'nvram reboot'
Important:
• If reporting issues provide applicable info: 'dmesg', 'cat /tmp/var/log/messages', syslog/serial output, strace etc.
• For firewall issues provide 'iptables -L', 'iptables -t nat -L' and the /tmp/.ipt file.
• Search existing SVN tickets before opening a new one. Before reporting, reset and manually setup (no nvram backup).
• Be sure to include operating and wireless modes (Gateway, AP, CB, etc.) along with relevant configuration information.

Status: Up and stable for 1 day, excellent wireless speed and range
Errors: none so far
I'm having issues that certain clients seem to lose wifi internet connection after some days, this started since build r43381.
Anyone else noticed this?

Some lesson learned here...
U must reset the dam router to able to fully upgrade the firmware.
FYI
I'm far from be a expert on the tech behind of DD-WRT but I can tell u this...
After a lot errors on 2.4 and 5.0Ghz I decide to reset and start fresh configuration.
RT-AC3200 has 3 radios and only after I reset it, the dam radios start to work again...before that on 2 of 3 radios worked but both not allowed apple devices connect....due this error...CONSOLE: 004547.804 wlc_ieml_parse_frame: err -1
I also see guys that has NetGear R7000 never reported any issue....But if I'm no mistaked they share some similar specs like Broadcom BCM4709.
So my question for them is...how often u reset your router after upgrade the firmware?
Thanks for the maintainer of the firmware and the valuable technical feed backs I get on this forums. _________________ RT-AC68U

I have 2 offsite R7000 routers and extra R7000 routers to do direct swaps to minimize down time. These sites normal only get updated about once a year or earlier for security fixes. _________________ Home Network on Telus 1Gb PureFibre - 10GbE Copper Backbone

I'll see if I can capture anything useful. After several attempts the attached logs are all I was able to capture.
Flashed this to my family of R7000p and ran the Telnet/SSH instructions and now I finally have access to all the 5GHZ channels. Thank you!
I did put the Netgear firmware back on one of my units and then flashed to this with resets in between just to see if you could go straight to this firmware and it does work. No need to do the Kong Build in between like before.
Just for anyone that has R7000P's
Thanks to the DD-WRT folks!
EDIT: Sorry I should clarify, when I say straight to this firmware I mean with the factory to DD-wrt as the first step then this latest build.
** I don't mean Netgear firmware to this build directly. **

version 43516 is the last version that the wait command is running correctly.
I'm running the gen_host script that download the blacklisted address and it stopped working, the wait command doesn't return end of download _________________ Netgear R9000 main router

I reset unit before and after flashing. Set everything up and couldn't get the VAPs to work properly - no clients could authenticate. Then came across a post which suggested bringing the eth1 and eth2 with this command - wlconf eth1 up; wlconf eth2 up; working great now and will flash my second unit (running as my primary switch) in a few days. Have set startup to run this command after 60 second sleep

ksmbd-tools: add avahi service file package #11173
(add avahi service file package, so linux clients can discover ksmbd shares)
https://github.com/openwrt/packages/pull/11173
It seemed that DD-WRT needed to implement both traditional Samba 4 and kernel-mode Samba....
