Where are your screenshots? You are the only one claiming to have access to more channels

not sure how much you're helping if you're feeding him incorrect information

Your attitude is uncalled for. But since you want to see, here you go: https://imgur.com/a/zUJf6YI

I ran a nvram command that kernel panic posted and I was seeing more channels after running that.

It is back in one of the earlier posts for firmware release. I can't remember which one.

I believe you are referring to this, which I have not applied to this router (yet).

After recent transitions with problem of selecting Wireless Channel at VHT80, I started looking at the ddwrt code.
Best stable solution for all channel problems is to set:

Code:
nvram set brcm_unlock=1
nvram commit
reboot

life gets simpler Smile

EDIT: the above code fixed it. I have all the channels back now.

Router/Version: Linksys wrt320n
File/Kernel: dd-wrt.v24-43800_NEWD-2_K3.x_mega_wrt320n.bin
Previous/Reset: 43718, yes
Mode/Status: Default
Issues/Errors: The router won't take a new local IP address. The steps below work in 43718. Also, after setting Local IP Address and clicking Save, the autopopulated octets in Start IP Address no longer default to the octets set in Local IP Address.

Steps to reproduce:
Reset
Set Local IP Address
Save
Apply
Unplug/replug eth cable
Connect to new IP in browser Unsuccessful
PING: transmit failed. General failure.

Added post-nvram tweak pictures to the original linked images: https://imgur.com/a/zUJf6YI

So, now there is a workaround which I guess I get to add to the release thread post notes or issues section next release.

after running that commit

you have had to have done something different to get those channels. no one else with the r7000p has them

@nolimitz do you see the same channels as i?

Yes i do.

I get 4 channels only, 100+, the lower band 5GHz channel is not available. Try using Germany or Europe regulatory domain, haven’t tried now but i think it showed me lower channel sometime earlier.

@KP, which regulatory domain are you using?

Here's the gory details:

I bought it brand new from Wal-Mart. I flashed 40270M kongac to it. WebUI reset. I tried configuring client bridge, repeater bridge, and repeater, all of which boot-looped. Got it reset after that mess, set 2.4 radio as client, 5GHz as AP. Been the same configuration since then. Flashed 43516 without reset. Flashed 43812 test build without reset. I *just* did the nvram set and commit and reboot earlier. I also have not used anything but FF ESR or IE to access it, save and except when testing to see if Chromium-based browsers were still problematic after flashing 43516. The damn thing only runs part of one of my test benches in my shop, and is only fired up when I actually need to use it... and I only recently decided to upgrade it to BS builds. Could it be possible there's more than one revision of this device? Could it be the version of Netgear firmware that was installed when I flashed 40270M? No idea. But I promise you, I'm not withholding anything, no tricks up my sleeve, not yanking your chain, etc.

United States.

I have 2 brand new Netgear R7000p routers and when first flashed and even after reset it will show only the upper 5ghz channels under 20mhz only. When you apply 40/80mhz these disappear as the screen shots show. They do come back if you apply 20mhz though. You can choose 80mhz and a channel and apply it and it will set it but then it removes other choices so you must go back to 20mhz to get them back for some reason.

I haven't been able to get the lower channels to display no matter how much I play with it.

Thanks for your work on this.

P.S. deleting comments serves no purpose other than to make things confusing for people following.

Nope, no way to restore them unless you copied and pasted from a text file. I doubt there was a backup done between the times you posted and deleted the text.

the majority was unhelpful anyhow. I had some before running the nvram commit pics but others have posted them

* Is there a preferred stock firmware version to come from? I'm determined to figure this out
