Hi all, apologies if this is in the wrong section of the forum but it wasn't entirely clear where I should post this.
I've used the E2500 V2 router with DDWRT for multiple years along with the radio scheduling with no problems. Decided to upgrade the firmware to the latest (v 40599 from https://dd-wrt.com/support/router-database/?model=E2500_v1/v2) and the radio scheduling no longer works at all.
To troubleshoot I downloaded the oldest version available for this router to see if it worked then, still broken! I reset to default factory firmware, then reinstalled DD WRT and it's still broken.
The main reason I use the DDWRT firmware is for this option but it's stopped working ever since I upgraded.
Are there any devs who could take a look at this and help a guy out, I've been messing with this for hours and at this point I'm almost certain there is a bug/error in the coding of the firmware. This all worked correctly for years before I upgraded!

I downloaded and installed every one of the firmware versions on the above link and the radio scheduling is non functional on each one. I know there are other versions because I had it installed and functioning for years, however, whatever working version I had is no longer available for download.
This database may not have up-to-date information and may even recommend a build which might cause issues. As such, you should check the device specific forum (Broadcom, Atheros, MediaTek, etc.) first before flashing any build recommended in this database. There you will find build specific topics that discuss any issues with a particular build/release. For more up-to-date firmware files, please visit the firmware faq.
I've seen that disclaimer as well as the master directory of files (I use this one: ftp://ftp.dd-wrt.com/betas/") although admittedly I had forgotten about the disclaimer. When I look in the master directory I don't see any e2500 files that I can flash for the V2. Am I to assume that the "Router Database" files are the only ones available for the E2500 in which case I'm SoL?
The problem now is, you're probably running a K2.6 build still, which that one is broken. I am a little worn out typing out the upgrade path, but here we go from where you probably are now:
In the "other downloads" link, betas->2019-> 08-06-2019-r40559->broadcom_k3x->dd-wrt.v24-40559_NEWD-2_K3.x_mega-e2500.bin
No guarantee on the scheduling working, but at least you will be where you should be before asking about things being broken. You have not done enough reading yet.
Since you're helping me but at the same time low-key roasting me (lol), I'll thank you for your help and at the same time say that yes, IMO it is unreasonable to ask people to read hours of instructions that are nested within multiple levels of more nested instructions. Having said that, I am actually one of the people who did read those things, my mistake was not understanding I should be looking for "broadcom K3x" and not "E2500" which is not very intuitive.
I have to say this too...imagine having a home page that says "ROUTER DATABASE" with nested instructions that say "NEVER USE THE ROUTER DATABASE." Here's an idea, replace the "router database" which nobody is ever supposed to use with a link to direct the person to the actual router database here: https://dd-wrt.com/support/other-downloads/.
SOLUTION
For anyone in the future running into this same issue, here is the solution, credit going to kernel-panic69 for helping me understand that I needed to look under "broadcom K3x":
Filename of e2500 firmware with functional radio scheduling:
dd-wrt.v24-43718_NEWD-2_K3.x_mega-e2500

I also did not know to look under broadcom_K3X instead of e2500. I still don't know many things (sorry if stupid):
1) Why are all the broadcom_K3X builds "mega", and if I think I would prefer mini*, mini's are only under broadcom_K26? (In the build forums I can't see anyone actually installing a post-KRACK mini on a e2500, am I searching wrong?)
2) Regarding the mention in this thread of k2.6 being "broken," is that about the one install of the one user in this thread, or should all e2500 owners be avoiding everything under the k2.6 directory?
3) I don't understand why the recommended upgrade path here spans 4 builds, and why those 4. Is the repetition of "40559" a cut and paste typo?
*I just want a simple yet secure (KRACK fix) firmware on my e2500 I got from ebay pre-installed with dd-wrt v24-sp2 (mar25 2013).
