I have a WRT54G-v2.2 router running "DD-WRT v24-sp2 (08/12/10) mini" (according to the home page). I am trying to upgrade it to VINT, but every time I try I get an error saying "This site can’t be reached", and the update never happens (have waited a long time).

Can anyone tell me how can I update this router?

=== edit ===

The problem seems in fact wider than just the firmware update, if I try to change any settings at all, I always get the following:

This page isn’t working
192.168.1.1 didn’t send any data.
ERR_EMPTY_RESPONSE

Maybe something went wrong with the initial flash, any ideas on how to fix this?

You should be using IE or Firefox ESR 52 portable version for Windows to update, possibly. OR, you may have to use the linksys tftp flash utility and upgrade via tftp. Not sure why you're wanting to "upgrade" to VINT, it would probably be better to upgrade to 43192 or newer firmware on this device.

Hi.

I just updated one of my wrt54g 2.2 a few days ago.
Results here:

https://forum.dd-wrt.com/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=325590&postdays=0&postorder=asc&start=0

No reset, and updated via wire and static IP on my win7 64bits, clean firefox ( no fancy extension or add ons ).

Ps. kp69. Thanks for the link about tftp2.exe. I was looking for it, couldn't remember the name and source.

I was using the latest firefox on Linux. Will boot my machine into Windows then and have a try.

Thank you for the information, very very helpful.

Just don't "downgrade" and wind up with problems. I listed specific releases to upgrade to. AFAIK the "VINT" images are older than your initial flash.
