This build bricked my Linksys E1200v2. So far no recovery yet, working on it.
Would help to know which firmware image file bricked it.

This one: dd-wrt.v24-43266_NEWD-2_K3.x_mega-e1200v2.bin

The CFE recovery showed up and asked for a firmware file, I tried selecting this one again but it rebooted to the CFE recovery, and I tried selecting the previous build I had but that one hadn't rebooted the router before I had to leave work. I'll know more when I get back in to my office.

Try the generic K3.x_mega.bin or preferably the K3.x_mega-nv64k.bin without the device name in it flashed via the DD-WRT webUI. If that also fails, then it is probably specific to that device... but my E4200v1 flashed this build just fine with the generic mega.bin file.

KP, I didn't check for replies before I got the E1200v2 recovered. I was able to get the named build flashed after I did a 30-30-30, TFTP load of of the micro 2.4 build 42954, flashed the mega 3.0 named build 42954, reconfigured to previous settings (tested restore from the 42954 backup), and once that was up attempted the named 43266 3.0 build. This worked and now running the new build. The recovery was a little fun as the LAN ports still had the bug in the previous versions. I am interested in the nv64k builds and will test them after I have an hour or two of stable uptime on this router.

A thorough checkout as I'm deploying updates to DD-WRT into my home network on two routers after using an old build for a long time -- stability is paramount and the old build (~2016) was solid.

Primary router: very old DD-WRT build --> much newer build via web interface update
Main Router/Version: Asus RT-AC87U
Firmware: DD-WRT v3.0-r43266 std (05/27/20)
Kernel: Linux 4.4.224 #246 SMP Wed May 27 09:43:59 +04 2020 armv7l
File: asus_rt-ac87u-firmware.trx via web GUI
Previous/Reset: VERY old: DD-WRT v3.0-r28647 std (01/02/2016)
Mode/Status: AP+local switch, WL0=mixed,Wide HT40/upper, QAM256=on, explicit beamforming=on. WL1=5GHz, AC/N mixed, VHT80, lower/lower, beamforming=on
Security: WL0=WPA2-PSK/WPA-PSK, TKIP+CCM. WL1 5GHz=WPA2-PSK, TKIP+CCMP (AES)
Issues/Errors:
(1) USB storage requires a hotplug after boot to recognize any USB drives plugged in. After an unplug/plug it does automount properly now. DMESG output of this issue (same as on WRT3200ACM) is in my checkout of r43306 here (https://forum.dd-wrt.com/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?p=1206277#1206277). Before the hotplug, under services-->USB-->Disk Info no USB devices are shown, and NAS tab shows /dev/sda1 inaccessible.
(2) Runs hot -- 80C CPU 24/7 -- and underclocking option seems inoperable. Low priority, has been running this way for ~4 years.
Notes: Thorough testing since Friday for stability -- core functionality seems good. On 802.11AC 5GHz seeing >200Mbps down.

Longtime DD-WRT user and forum lurker, thanks to all the devs for this great OSS project.

Router/Version: Asus N66U B1
File/Kernel: broadcom_K3X/dd-wrt.v24-43266_NEWD-2_K3.x_mega_RT-N66U.trx / 4.4.224 #1408
Previous/Reset: 33492 / yes
Mode/Status: gateway / OK
Issues/Errors: ZERO

AP wired + 2.4G + 5G HT40; QoS; dnsmask.

Feels fast/stable compared to 2019, earlier builds for n66u were linux 3.x kernels.
