Hi,
I want to configure the FAST BSS Trasition from my main R7800 to my AP R7000. Under the config in the R7800 I enabled it and set the NAS Identifier as the R7800 5ghz wifi address (without the : ), as the identifier I wrote 0013 and....then?

Nothing to do on the R7000? There isn't any options to enable it, maybe Brainslayer removed it from R7000? It's me or with the kong build there was an option also in the R7000?

Or it should already works? Confused

Thanks

if im not wrong, that option is for Atheros based units.....and R7000 has a Broadcom radio, with proprietary drivers....
if you think to use it on a commercial level...although R7800(Atheros) has a patch for it, take this into an account... using Broadloom units for AP's

In October 2017 security researchers Mathy Vanhoef (imec-DistriNet, KU Leuven) and Frank Piessens (imec-DistriNet, KU Leuven) published their paper "Key Reinstallation Attacks: Forcing Nonce Reuse in WPA2" (KRACK). This paper also listed a vulnerability of common 802.11r implementations and registered the CVE identifier CVE-2017-13082.

On August 4th, 2018 researcher Jens Steube (of Hashcat) described a new technique [3] to crack WPA PSK (Pre-Shared Key) passwords that he states will likely work against all 802.11i/p/q/r networks with roaming functions enabled.

ive no idea, if this option is working and what's its current development, you can check SVN if so...

Hmmm thanks, I remember on the Kong build there was something for the R7000, it was working first time I tried it, now not anymore.

What’s the best way to have a seamless transition from a router to another? They’re both cabled together and the wireless radios have both same ID but I have a black out of few milliseconds every time I switch from one to another... it hurts me.

Thanks ! Very Happy

hmm...i guess it must be both, client and device supported...
i haven't seen that extra operational, its always like that a milliseconds but drop...
TBH its a very annoying thing...check if your clients support it or have a settings for it...
