I just checked my WDR3600. No fsck of any type. As mentioned above USB filesystem repair can be done via a Ubuntu live CD/USB. It can also be done on Windows machines but that is not advised.
It does have /bin/mount and /bin/umount (note umount not unmount).
Before asking a question on the forums, update dd-wrt: Where do I download firmware? I suggest reading it all.
