Everything works fine for me, I have a hard disk connected to the router, configured samba, I access, write and read without problems, in the same way via FTP.
If I copy files from my computer to the router's hard drive either through the file explorer or using Filezilla, if the files are small, no problem, but if they take up a few megabytes and are multiple files ... CPU usage goes up very much, to the point that my internet speed drops enormously.

I have tried both copying only through Dolphin (Kubuntu file browser) and through Filezilla, in both cases, the use of cpu is triggered and as I comment, my internet access speed drops a lot.

With the original firm stock of the router, this problem does not happen to me, even if I transfer 15 gigs, the transfer speed is correct (same as with ddwrt) and my internet access speed is correct, the one contracted, I do not suffer that decrease .

I give you a couple of screenshots, the first is copying files through the file explorer, the second is using Filezilla, I connect via SSH, I make a top, and this is the result:
