Using Avahi Daemon from Entware won't start because it wants to use a runtime directory of /run, instead of /opt/var/run. Other services all pick the correct directory such as dbus. Any thoughts on how to fix this?

Yeah, you can simply use a hex editor and change all references of /run to /tmp (iirc, there are five (5) of them). It's what I had to do and it worked fine.
