Could someone check whether the router with build 43324 would reboot when accessing Samba shares after some idle period of not using them?

From the SVN, "enable lockup detector for x64 to analyse ksmbd problems" sounded suspicious.... Smile

Beamforming. Also should probably change your ack back to the old default of 2000, if not something else.

all beamforming settings do nothing for me, i never noticed any change honestly in performance or stability when i change them. same for ACK timing, i do not notice a difference between 500 and 2000 but i am mostly using wifi indoors so not sure if it will make a difference for others. its worth mentioning that the 5GHz coverage of R7000P is much much better than that of the R6700v3 when both are put in the same location (not at the same time for sure).

I have a similar experience with my R7000P. if i leave everything default with the exception of using 80 width i get the same performance if i use recommended settings. my isp is only 100 down 10 up though. i can only get about 60 down on 2.4 though

Router/Version:Netgear R7000
File/Kernel: DD-WRT v3.0-r43324 std (06/02/20)
Previous/Reset: First build using ddwrt
Mode/Status: WIFI AP, working somewhat ok
Issues/Errors: Some clients (iphone and laptop running ubuntu 20.04.1) get disconnected and lose connection. Usually it's a dnsmasq/resolving timeout issue. I have local resolver on separate wired machine. I sometimes have to disconnect/reconnect client to router to get anything to work.

Router/version: Netgear R7000
Firmware: DD-WRT v3.0-r43324 std (06/02/20)
Mode/Status: Router / working
Reset: no
Issues/Errors: Working well so far.

Hi, I've just upgrade my routers firmware and everything seems to work perfectly, except for the Ad Blocking with builds other than Micro ( https://wiki.dd-wrt.com/wiki/index.php/Ad_blocking ). I've done everything they explained on the wiki but in this version the local dns setting is not available anymore so I couldn't enable that. Currently the ad blocking is not working and I don't know what the problem is. Is there someone that can help me with it?

thanks

@BerkeinR:

A few months ago the wget binary got "fixed" (or fucked up).
In short:
In order to prevent security breaches, the busybox maintainers decided to stop functioning on https connections.

Since then a wget script will error out and not download anything in your adblock script.

Use "curl" instead of "wget -qO" and it should work again.
A few months ago I discovered all scripts related to wget not working anymore.
No warning, nothing, they just disabled it!
This is not a problem of DD-WRT and to be fair it was a security risk.
Communication was a straight "F".

^^^^ completely wrong. DD-WRT is not configured to support https in wget in busybox. My FreshTomato builds support wget over ssl just fine with 1.32.x
