Notes:
• r41664 or later for SFE NAT (k3.2+), KRACK (k24+), PBR+SFE, CAKE & FQ_CODEL_FAST (reset!), GTK Rekey timer fixes.
• Reset button was broken at 40571, then fixed in build r40750.
• Experimental build option for Broadcom 8MB+ K2.x devices (limited currently): broadcom_K3X_mipsel32r1
• CVE-2019-14899 VPN fix (applicability depends on VPN setup) and GUI toggle. 6920, 6928, 6931, 6932 (WIP 7040)
• In-kernel Samba has been implemented this year and default min/max versions have changed 6954, 6957, with WSD support.
• Broadcom MIPS devices are now on kernel 4.4. N66U/AC66U half memory is fully resolved.
• Local DNS option removed from Services->DNSMasq in changesets 43080 and 43081; ref: #7092
• DHCP and DNS help (English) updated in 43083; ref: #7091
• WAN lease time approaching zero bug on WRT54* devices fixed in 43191; ref: #6456
• Images for WNR3500Lv2 (BRCM NAND flash crash bug) fixed in 43219 (43217); ref: #7098
• WireGuard: Policy Based Routing, Kill Switch, Inbound Firewall, Naming of Peers, Status, Key, Guides. Thanks egc!
Issues, observations, and/or workarounds reported:
• DNScrypt 1.95 can still be used in the GUI but v2 (not compatible) requires Golang and thus Entware. 6246
• WDS does not work on Broadcom ARM devices(only MIPS<->MIPS) and bridge modes on k4.4 devices may sometimes work in some configurations in certain builds but are not supported by the bcmdhd driver. Use client or repeater instead.
• VAPs not working at bootfixed for unbridged VAPs with r40564:40566.Workaround startup command:
sleep 10;stopservice nas;stopservice wlconf;startservice wlconf;startservice nas(there are a few alternatives, search).
• If start-up scripts do not work from USB add a delay (e.g. wait script or 'sleep 25').
Important:
• If reporting issues provide applicable info: 'dmesg', 'cat /tmp/var/log/messages', syslog/serial output, strace etc.
• For firewall issues provide 'iptables -L', 'iptables -t nat -L' and the /tmp/.ipt file.
• Search existing SVN tickets before opening a new one. Before reporting, reset and manually setup (no nvram backup).
• Be sure to include operating and wireless modes (Gateway, AP, CB, etc.) along with relevant configuration information.

Flashed: via the web GUI

Problems/Errors none to report

Decided to flash today's build after looking at the notes on trac for DD-WRT. So far, so good, will update if problems show up. I have had an overall stable experience with DD-WRT this year, and this router.
Just a question: Have the DD-WRT forums been having issues this afternoon? I've had slow to no responses from the site, after flashing while everything else has been fine. Just checking to see if it's not a router firmware issue, since it seems to only be with THIS site. Thanks.

BS is going back to a known good version of ksmbd in the next build.
I have got nothing but trouble from ksmbd in recent builds high loads, spontaneous reboots etc, but sometimes it just works.
For my Broadcom routers I went back using Samba36 which is rock solid using 43320 and I can again use my ntfs partitions which were not usable on ksmbd.
Router/Version: R7000P File/Kernel: factory-to-dd-wrt.chk Previous/Reset: no, power cycle only Mode/Status: AP 5GHz 2.4GHz Privoxy Issues/Errors: 5GHz radio shows one wireless channel only for VHT80, screenshot attached
Router/Version: R6700v3 File/Kernel: factory-to-dd-wrt.chk Previous/Reset: no, power cycle only Mode/Status: AP 5GHz, wireguard Issues/Errors: none, to compare with R7000P, 5GHz radio shows 5 channels to select from, screenshot attached
so the 5GHz channel selection bug persists on the R7000P with only one channel to select for VHT80. R6700v3 is fine with 5 channels to select from.
i've seen the following reported, worth mentioning here as this is the first time i see it, in the sys info tab, wireless section shows SGI next to VHT80, i've seen this for Atheros before, first time for broadcom.
edit: R7000P uptime is 30 days now, been a stable build.

You are completely glazing over recommended settings on your R7000P.
you mean MU MIMO? doesn't make a difference really and the iPhone XS will always perform like shit (throughput/link rate wise) which i posted a new thread for.

Beamforming. Also should probably change your ack back to the old default of 2000, if not something else.
all beamforming settings do nothing for me, i never noticed any change honestly in performance or stability when i change them. same for ACK timing, i do not notice a difference between 500 and 2000 but i am mostly using wifi indoors so not sure if it will make a difference for others. its worth mentioning that the 5GHz coverage of R7000P is much much better than that of the R6700v3 when both are put in the same location (not at the same time for sure).

Updated via webif. No 'nvram erase' this time, last one was in July 2018 (r36325).
The minor issue with the zero packet count on wl0 has returned, and "Connected Clients" is stuck at zero. The wl1 counts seem correct.
Current basic R7000 setup (subject to change of course):
- Static WAN IP
- SFE - On
- STP - On
- IPv4 only, both WAN and LAN
- LAN DHCP Enabled
- Wireless: AP, Regulatory Domain = CANADA, wl0 Mixed (ch. 6), wl1 AC/N-Mixed (ch. 149, VHT80), AES
- 1 wireless VLAN on wl0
- SNMP disabled, SSH enabled, Telnet disabled
- Firewall enabled, Log Level high
- Syslog: to local server. klogd: enabled.
- USB support - Off
- No custom scripts
- NO: ttraf, Tor, VNC, Zabbix, VPN, Radius
- NO: UPnP, DMZ, QoS
- NO: Samba, CIFS, JFFS2, miniDLNA, Entware, Optware _________________ Netgear R7000: v3.0-r54248 std (11/29/23)
