I recently installed the micro build on this router following all guides regarding it (WTR54GL) and it all went fine, but i wanned to flash the vpn version in order to use the open vpn feature. so, according to all guides i read, i should first flash the micro build, and only then, flash any other version (std, voip or vpn) as this router's flash is 4 mb only.

the problem is i cant flash the vpn version no matter what i do. as the file size is 3.74 mb, i think the flash just doesnt have enough space to copy and flash the file with a working firmware on it. so i'd like to know if there's an specific method to flash this build, i really need the openvpn feature.

BTW: the micro, mini and std versions can be flashed. only vpn is not possible.

You are not telling us what versions you are trying to flash. I just re-read the WRT54GL wiki, and is says that vpn can be flashed; however, it also says:

Thus the linux partition size limit is 0x3F0000-0x40000 = 3866624 bytes = 3776 KB

SO, if you are horned in on the problematic router database page and trying 40559, it will NOT flash because it is too big: 06-Aug-2019 08:46 3928064

HOWEVER, 43192 *should* flash: 9-May-2020 11:59 3858432

AND, so should today's release (43290): 29-May-2020 12:30 3858432

for some reason in my case the VPN tab, under services, is returning a white page

I installed even the 31 May build - generic vpn - same thing

If you're using a Chromium-based browser with extensions and add-ons loaded, not in private or incognito mode, that is 90% of your problem. If in fact there is something amiss, I need better proof...

I also tried in safari but I will also try incognito or on a fresh installed browser. Thank you

Opera, Pale Moon, Waterfox Classic, Firefox ESR are usually the least problematic for me.
