Hi,

I appreciate any insight you can bring me because I've been chasing my own tail with this issue all night. My goal is to setup a segmented network with 2 VLANs. I have a gateway from my ISP that is directly connected to my DD-WRT Router (Netgear 6700v3). The VLANs are unable to reach the internet, and I have realized that the DD-WRT router cannot ping my ISP gateway. I have tried manually configuring an IP on the dd-wrt router to no avail. Can someone please help me diagnose this issue?

Not sure how you have setup but this is not going to work I think.

Is this router setup as normal gateway i.e. connected your WAN port to the ISP?

Or is this setup as a WAP: https://wiki.dd-wrt.com/wiki/index.php/Wireless_access_point

You have unbridged your LAN but the router has the same IP address ????

You have set Gateway and local DNS which you only do on a WAP but then again your DHCP server is running ???

You use VLAN0 that is not good practice whatsoever

Best advice: reset to defaults first get a working router and start reading Smile

The switched ports wiki @kp69 pointed to is quite good Smile

Thank you both for your help! I was able to solve the issue by resetting my router to factory defaults and starting the process over again.

Could one of you guys explain to me what is meant by the "assigned to bridge" setting in the VLAN settings tab please? I've solved the original issue, but I'm just trying to clarify what this setting does under the hood. I'm a little fuzzy on the concept of bridging as it would relate to VLANs here.

Thanks again!
