#-------- for proftpd passive WAN access -----
echo 'MasqueradeAddress xxxxx.ddns.net'>> /tmp/proftpd/etc/proftpd.conf #Masquerade the responses
echo 'PassivePorts 55000 56000'>> /tmp/proftpd/etc/proftpd.conf #Set the passive ports range
killall -HUP proftpd #restart the ftp server
I checked proftpd.conf using SSH(SCP), no mention of the passive ports are found. after manual execution it is there in the .conf file.
any idea why? any suggestion welcome and thank you
Hi kernel-panic69
Thanks for looking that up for me. I understand what you say. But the Proftp (/opt) works on default 21, when changed to a custom port won't work until the script is run manually after each reboot. That's the reason why I wondering why the script wouldn't work at start up.
I have also tried resetting the router and restoring with the backup still doesn't work. I don't know what I am doing wrong.
