If I place dd-wrt on my linkys router e3000, will I be able to remotely (inside home network) via ssh (expect) from a linux box, be able to make config changes, like a forwarding rule ? Also, do I have to recreate by hand the dhcp reservation table from the OE config once I flash dd-wrt ?
Thanks !!

yes...yes...!
not to waste a time and space....
yes, with DDWRT you can use SSH or telnet to your router (either LAN or WAN side) and use CLI...to forward a rules...its a stripped off linux and has many other capabilities...as well...
general rules do not turn ssh on a WAN side (not to expose ssh) unless you know what you are doing...
do not use telnet for anything...
for better security use only 4096 bit Key-based SSh log in only ...(ssh log in password is disabled)...you can secure the Private key with password too..
once in CLI you can... _________________ Atheros
