Please list router model & revision, operating & wireless mode(s) and exact filename/firmware image flashed.
Notes:
• CVE-2019-14899 VPN fix from December, since then various revisions including recently 7040.
• In-kernel Samba has been implemented this year and default min/max versions have changed, with WSD support.
• VAP issue is fixed! For any Wireless Mode, create a VAP and both ath0/ath1 should now function properly.
• WireGuard 1.0 & tools! New GUI Tunnel options have appeared since r42872, script no longer required! Setup Guide is by egc.
Issues:
• There may be remaining issues for Samba (for example NTFS), with frequent updates.
Important:
• If reporting issues provide applicable info: syslog output, 'dmesg', 'cat /var/log/messages', serial output etc.
• For firewall issues provide 'iptables -L', 'iptables -t nat -L' and the /tmp/.ipt file.
• Search existing SVN tickets before opening a new one. Before reporting, reset and manually setup (no nvram backup).
• Be sure to include operating and wireless modes (Gateway, AP, CB, etc.) along with any relevant configuration information.
OpenVPN CLIENT seems fine (nordvpn server)
5GHz wpa2 CCMP-128 (AES) Seems fine 40MHz N
2.4GHz wpa2 CCMP-128 (AES) Seems fine 20MHz N
NAS via USB Samba occasionally asks for credentials that don't exist. (<Save> <Apply Settings> resolves).
Flashed from 43012 (oops)
*** Added comment: I've been playing around with trying to figure out what the sam hill is going on with wifi on this wrt3200acm router. I threw in an old ECB3500 EnGenius router purely as an access point. Instructed folks who had issues with the wrt ap to start using the eng ap and compare performance. So far, the response is the connections with the eng ap are flawless, good performance while the wrt is constantly problematic. Port settings are identical on both. Comments anyone?
I should note that its the old odd wifi refuses connection, or connects with no internet access problem. Usually resolved with a router reboot. The eng ap is attached to a lan port of the wrt router.

Upgraded WRT1200AC v1 from r42954 to r43028 using Firefox 75.0 (64 bit) running on Linux Mint 19.3 OS.
Successful update and reboot. No reset, nothing disabled prior to update, uptime since release, wireless connected, vpn up immediately (ExpressVPN). I do not use NAS. SFE is always disabled. OpenVPN client/DNSMasq, QoS with PIE always enabled.

WRT1900 V1's WDS Stations r31924 -> r43012
Second new build which seems to work fine on these old routers.
WRT3200 Master DHCP/DNS r42954 -> r43028
WRT 3200 WDS Station r42954 -> r43028
All is well.
Same as few prior builds on 3200, if Ath2 is enabled it disappears from GUI -> Wireless and doesn't work. _________________ Starlink & DSL -> TPLink TL-R470T+

I've been having what seems like pretty serious issues with my router since the previous build of r42954.
Router/Version: Linksys WRT32X
File/Kernel: webflash / r43028
Previous/Reset: v3.0-r42954 /No Reset
Mode/Status: ath0: 5G AC/N Mixed-20/40 Dynamic - Not Working
ath1: 2.4 NG-Mixed/ 20/40 Dynamic -Working
ath2: Not Visible
Issues/Errors: 5G won't connect but is broadcasting SSID. ath1 is working but at slower speeds. Ethernet has no issues from what I can tell. Google Mini has connection issues, keeps getting dropped.
I enabled syslog and klog and tried to copy some relevant info for you guys. There are kernel errors and warnings and a mwifiex dump included.
Upgraded to 43028 from 42015, which has been my reliable build, via a short stop on 43012 before it was pulled. All upgrades done via GUI without any problems; uptime is almost 3 days now. No issues other than the usual red http authorization/authentication errors in syslog which I've been seeing for at least a year now.
Performance is excellent (360mbs/sec down and 264mbs/sec up with Wireguard client to Mullvad) and feels very snappy. I also updated my Wireguard config following egc's guide to eliminate the startup script - all good so far.
I had tried several builds between 42015 and 43028 and the wifi died after 1.5-2.5 days - hopefully I'm past that now with this build. I also have a cron job that restarts httpd every hour since that was hanging regularly - maybe I'll try taking that out to see if this issue is fixed.

Hmmm... had some trouble installing this build on two of my three routers:
WRT32X - no issues.
WRT1900AC v1 - install put the router into a boot loop. This was only fixed with a manual power-cycle, but it came back OK AND upgraded.
Archer C9 v1 - install never got to the rebooting stage, even though I had done a soft-reboot prior to the upgrade. After I did a manual power-cycle, the upgrade ran through correctly.
Very strange as these devices normally upgrade without any fuss. _________________ Linksys WRT32X v1 - r45677

Firmware: ftp://ftp.dd-wrt.com/betas/2021/
From 41517 - boot loop as previously reported but I had to pull ethernet cables and power cycle to successfully boot. Not sure if only pulling certain cables would have sufficed.
Have not tried reboot with cables connected yet. Will update this post when I have.
***Update***: mine does boot loop if cables are plugged in when restarted. Interesting that I don't see other 1900 v1s having the same issue. Will try booting w/just Wan cable unplugged and report back.
Once out of boot loop, All appears working so far. _________________ Wrt1900acv1 r43028

WRT1900AC v1. No reset.
6in4 IPV6 tunnel through Hurricane Labs. PCs get an IPv6 address, but cannot ping IPv6 sites. Router itself cannot ping IPV6 addresses. Reverted to 42954 and IPv6 works as expected.
EDIT: If I went to the IPV6 setup page and clicked Apply (without making any changes), IPV6 would come up and work as expected until I made any change to configuration. Then I'd have to repeat. Reverted to build 42819 and appears to be stable. _________________ __________________________

Second time now.
After a couple of days running, DHCP stops working on the Master.
Everything else is operating as I can Telnet in or Access with a static addressed device either on ethernet or WiFi.
Reboot of master resolves problem and all starts working again.
Will update to r43055 to see if problem persists. _________________ Starlink & DSL -> TPLink TL-R470T+

Could you post details on your DHCP config? Do you use dnsmasq for DHCP?
Not sure what you are looking for. I have never seen this failure in any other release and have not changed anything in my config.
Start IP Address 192.168.0.100
Maximum DHCP users 154
Client Lease Expiration 1440 min
Static DNS 1 142.161.2.155
2 8.8.8.8
3 4.4.4.4
WINS 0.0.0.0
Use DNSMasq for DNS Yes
DHCP Authoritative Yes
Recursive DNS Resolving (Unbound) No
Forced DNS Redirection No
Currently have most devices in my Static table 192.168.0.1 to 192.168.0.99 Very rarely does DHCP need to assign a device not in the table.
When I did lose DHCP I was still able to connect to the Router via Telnet and with devices with static addressing through the Ath0 & Ath1. Also I had one desktop which had been active during the loss and it still had full network and Internet access. As soon as I disconnected it I was unable to reconnect as it could not resolve DHCP.
I have since upgraded to r43055 and after 8 hrs. lost Internet access but DHCP was still active.I will continue with this build but leave it overnight to see if the problem recurs. _________________ Starlink & DSL -> TPLink TL-R470T+
