Hi everyone
Just do the trick to get this awesome firmware on my router.
Now i got just a little issue. When i set openvpn, my speed is blocked at 10mbps (up and down), i got 100mbps on fiber.
i'am using NORDVPN
I have tried everything since last night and i just give up.
does anyone have the same issue ?
I can't answer specifically on the use of NORDVPN but I can tell you since I also use the EA6500v1 that it is not capable of full speed VPN transmission. You are likely bottle necked by the router's cpu. Go on the WEBGUI (the router webpage) and look at the load averages in the top right. Anything greater than 1 represents a cpu bottleneck.
I forgot to mention that your issue stems from the encryption process that the router does to send data to the vpn. I used to access my router over ssh from the wan and I was capped to ~10mbps due to a cpu bottleneck (no way around it). Do you happen to have another more powerful Linux computer always powered on connected your network at home? I solved the slow encryption and decryption by offloading that process to a different computer and now I am limited by my internet speeds only (300mbps down 25mbps up).
