Dear Members,
I recently bought the router TP-Link Archer C80 v.1 AC1900 and would like to install a custom firmware. Unfortunately, I was unable to find a matching firmware based on the router's model name.

I am new to custom router firmware and would like to ask you, is there really no suitable custom firmware for that router, or I have not been able to locate the right section?

Can you please recommend a suitable custom firmware elsewhere?

Kind regards

FCC ID: TE7C80 (2019-11-18) This is a new one.

The only realistic way for support to be added is to donate the router.

I recommend finding a used R7800 in the meantime. Maybe an older cheaper EA8500 if you are comfortable with serial flash.

Thank you for your input!
If I understood you correctly, you say that the product is still very new and does not have a custom firmware support yet?

By "donating the router" do you mean changing the router if I want custom firmware right now?
Is it plausible that I wait a little while for a custom version to come out?

Kind regards

By donating the router, it means boxing it up and sending it to BrainSlayer in Germany understanding that you will likely not receive it back in return for adding support:

You may be able to provide information to the developer to get it supported, but without a device to test by the developer, that may not be ideal:
