BrainSlayer didn't really disseminate the actual procedure to flash that build AFAIK, just that he had tested it on this device. So I tried to load the mipselr1 firmware on the 600N and it resulted in a bootloop so I had to TFTP back to V2.4 42803. I have an email in to BS to ask how to "properly" load the mipselr1 version on the 600N.
Also, I thought this was a 300mbps MCS router...both radios seem to top out at 270....it's been so long....is that the best on this thing-270? No 64-QAM 5/6 support? Am I forgetting to enable some feature...again...I've forgotten more than I can remember about the 600N.
EDIT:
I think it's because this was a draft N chipset and no short gain index of 400ns, only 800ns, which makes sense why it can't hit 300 then... _________________ FORUM RULES

Hi,
i have a serial pin connection to the mainboard of this router so it's easy to revert to a previous firmware using a tftp flash.
I have tested the K3X_mipsel32r1( and i can confirm the boot loop ) the days that i have wrote this article on the forum.
the main reason of this post is to undertand WHY to use this kernel/build and how to flash.

Well, I'm throwing the towel in on this one...I see there are two pads for resistors just below the tx and rx lines on the pcb...tried to jumper one of them and my iron was too hot and burned up the trace on the tx line out from the pcb (rx of ttl). Still get an output... But not clean... Something else is up.... Maybe you can sort out why the mipselr1 won't load...bs asked me to send my bootlog for troubleshooting...
He has the OG 1.0 of the 600N. I have the 1.1 and the mipsel firmware fails both tftp and webgui upgrade...
I know my ttl worked to flash my two ea8500's... Maybe got lucky? I'm not sure what is causing the gobbly gook output...need sleep... Night and thanks! _________________ FORUM RULES
