After trying to install beta r42747 the router is left with all lights on and then only 1 light on in an infinite loop like that, is there any way to repair this issue

If it's bricked, you probably have to recover it. Not sure why it bricked, though...

use KP's 2nd link above, scroll to tftp recovery and follow those directions. You will need to grab the original firmware file from the tp-link support website and rename the file accordingly...that should be enough info the get you back to stock firmware.

My only other suggestion is that TFTP64 is buggy, so get the TFTP32 version instead.

Your device is bricked and stuck in a bootloop.
Your only way to fix it is to TFTP recover it.

Read the instructions above... That's all we can do to help you now. You must read....

I would first try using the TFTP server method before buying a serial cable.

Follow the steps on the second link of KP's original reply.
You should be able to download the factory-to-dd-wrt file of build r42617, rename it to the correct recovery filename and tftp it to the router.

You can open a ticket in Bugtracker SVN, but you will probably want to verify r42819 first.

Did you reset to defaults to rule out any gremlins?
