Router model: TP-Link ARCHER-C7 v5
Status: Working with issues:
5Ghz band is limited to wireless N speeds.
Must be a settings issue...
Works fine on nearly identical A7v5, see the pic below (must be logged in to see it).
Follow my best qca wifi settings link in my signature below.
I assume you are running windows, which version?
Either way, you should be able to open up cmd.exe and run "netsh wlan show interfaces" if it comes up as 802.11N, most likely it's a driver issue with Intel. My 8260 won't come up as an AC connection despite getting 866mbps...
After more playing with channels...this is an intel driver bug b/c 866.7mbps is AC only and N only would be 300mbps...
What MCS rate is your client connecting at? _________________ FORUM RULES
msoengineer you were right.
I reinstalled with factory reset and now 5ghz band works normally. Without reset last version working was the one from 02/20/20.
I do not see any other issues on this model.
I use it as a gateway with pppoe connection.
