just flashed on my Archer C9 V1

Firmware: DD-WRT v3.0-r42729 (03/18/20)

LED's work great just very very dim. Also, general response from router Web GUI and internet traffic is much better than my previous very old firmware.

I love this router...best I've ever owned...so much so I have 2 of them. Very Happy

Thanks for that update.. saw a lot of consternation about newest builds in the build threads, so decided to hold off on the very-recent builds and installed DD-WRT v3.0-r42514 std (02/25/20) instead.

What features of the router do you use? Is it just an AP or gateway?

Thanks!
Cool

AP, gateway, Openvpn server, Wiregard server

Leds work except the ethernet ones...

Router Model TP-Link Archer C9
Firmware Version DD-WRT v3.0-r41586 std (11/21/19)
Kernel Version Linux 4.4.202 #299 SMP Thu Nov 21 12:27:41 +04 2019 armv7l

Currently using: vap, ap, routing/fw, dhcp

Looking for a recent stable release that will provide:
5GHZ wifi (Seeing devices loose connectivity or patchy)
virtual interfaces for wifi (don't want to loose this)
dhcp

thanks

Research the build threads. If people aren't reporting on this device, then feel free to test and report.

Please open a new thread for help. These device threads are going to start getting locked because they have become too cumbersome (TL:DR) to be useful.

Hi

Bought a preflashed router and updated it to the April firmware v42847.

99% sure that before upgrade the connection to the internet didnt show in Status/LAN/Active Clients list but now it DOES and shows as VLAN2 with 0 connections.

Since all other connections have assigned IPs and Hostnames (so easy to identify what is connected) is there any way to put this back to hidden as it was with older firmware?

or am I just mistaken and everyones WAN connection has always shown in this list???

Depending on how old the previous version was, it was likely before that "feature" was added to the interface. I think that was added sometime last year? I don't know why it was added, but it seems to be of no consequence or complaint that I am aware of.

This thread was opened for initial device support discussion, not a one stop shop help desk. Not going to have a thread turn into 100 pages of unnecessary cumbersome nonsense. Please report successful flashes and issues in build release threads. Use search function, Google, or open a new thread to discuss issues and seek help. Thank you.
