Generally I don’t scare too easily but this one has me a little concerned. The stores have been a zoo for the last 3 weeks. Toilet paper, hand wipes and disposable gloves are like finding hen’s teeth. We have enough food for about a week or longer if we need to stretch it. We’re in NJ and kind of in standby mode to see what new lockdown measures our state gov is going to come up with for today.
On a side note advise your older family members & friends to beware of scammers either by phone, bogus emails or coming to their doors. Now just waiting for the looting to start.

Some stores I am not wanting to bother with, because now I'm waiting for the great ammo shortage of 2020. And I am being serious. Hoping this thing blows over soon, I don't like it. There has been some seriously crazy traffic on my frequency scanners and my 6th through 9th senses are piqued.

I am from Germany and I can assure you that many health authorities / counties only test if you have been in a crisis area or have had direct contact with a confirmed patient
we don't have the capacity to do it
just like all medical facilities run out of personalized protective equipment

Italy.... nightmare, I have family over there + in France.
In Italy, they will have a fairly young population after that crazy covid-19, a friend of mine over there, in his entourage, he knows 5 persons who are dead, all was 75 years old +.

You’re in Texas so I’m thinking we may be on the same page with regards to 2A. You know the old saying, buy it cheap and stack it deep.

I have noticed that ISP have started removing data caps and sharing spectrum, but some have been throttling bandwidth and video bitrates.
FWIW I noticed two local competing ISP’s here are providing free previews for premium tv channels. I think they want to help occupy people’s minds while on lockdown

Its bad all over but very sad about Italy, looks like they are to the point where they are picking who gets treatment and who does not. Then they have deaths and can’t gather for a funerals because of the lock downs, very sad. Hopefully they see a turn around soon

Here - small eastern-US city with a metro area of 1/2 million or so - we're less concerned about getting the virus than simply going hungry, as the state of the groceries is shocking and deteriorating. Lots of empty shelves. In the meat department you eat what you can get. At the moment that means a store-imposed chicken quota or - oddly - ribs! Don't waste your time looking for pasta. But it's not the current inventory that frightens... it's the trend.
Update 2 April 2020: groceries stabilized, stuff mostly available (except toilet paper, of course ). Shoppers are spread thin in stores now and wary of each other. Masks on less than half of them, but that's likely to change quickly, as guidance is shifting now to "everyone wear masks." I finally pulled a used N100 shop mask from the drawer where it's been since I used it for a few days in 2003. Wouldn't wish its stiffened seals on a med worker, but it'll do for me.
Our big worry is a daughter in a similar-sized city half a day's drive from here. She's an emergency-department nurse in the hospital there. They are working themselves silly and doing it in protective gear, the supplies of which clearly won't last long, particularly the N95 masks, each of which they are using for way too long, far longer than official guidance recommends. She's healthy and strong and will likely catch and recover from the virus without too much drama, but still the stress is there for us all. Update 2 April 2020: That hospital now appears to have 44 Covid patients, a number that is climbing alarmingly fast, even in that nonnewsworthy part of the country. Getting test results there still takes an appalling 10 days. _________________ Five WRT1900ACSv2's on 42926, 44048.
