I installed the public image on my pc and it works great. Now I want to do the full for wireless and I can't get anything to write to my hard drive. I have formatted it and still nothing. If I write the public version it still works. I'm new to this x86 but have been using dd wrt on my tp link for years without issue.

If the onboard one wasn't recognized, then RealTek ethernet adapters won't work with DD-WRT. The one you bought has a RealTek chip, and most likely so is the onboard adapter. AFAIK, Intel adapters are supported well. _________________ "Life is but a fleeting moment, a vapor that vanishes quickly; All is vanity"

The onboard one is recognized, it's only a 10/100. I wanted to use this pci one for the gigabit. I have a 250 mb/s and can only use 100 because of the onboard one.

any ethernet nic with linux drivers works (broadcom, qualcomm, realtek, marvell, intel etc), but maybe not on pci, the old pci bus might be the problem.
wifi, only qualcomm atheros, broadcom wont cause of some proprietary driver something something crap. _________________ LATEST FIRMWARE(S)

The hardware shouldn't be too old to work right. I have a 2005-era HP that works with Ubuntu and Debian. If that is the case, it's something in the firmware. _________________ "Life is but a fleeting moment, a vapor that vanishes quickly; All is vanity"
