I've installed dd-wrt on multiple different hardware and many different builds over the last couple of months. One thing I have noticed is that the GUI will sometimes just stop responding at all.

I have to restart the router to gain access to the GUI again.

Is this just a feature of dd-wrt firmware?

I should have mentioned, I'm using the current builds from 2020.

I've installed on TP-link Archer C8 v1 and Netgear R2800.

No problem connecting to the GUI after a reboot, but over a period of a few days I can no longer make the connection. My current build is r42335

Thanks. Apparently this is a known problem that hasn't been resolved yet. And it is not just a problem on Broadcom hardware. My hardware is Atheros.

The workaround is to add the following line in Cron, that restarts the httpd every hour:
*/60 * * * * root restart httpd

Strange that this is needed.
