Webflashed from r42054...

With this build I could see and access my FIVE desktop PCs (They all use the same NIC an INTEL Server Card). I could also see and access the NAS/Shares. NONE of my FOUR laptops were visible.

I reverted back to r42054 and again could see and access all NINE Computers and shares and the NAS.

Not exactly true as there are changes that do not appear in the SVN. Also, bad builds can and do happen.

If you are experiencing issues with r42278, for example high cpu usage, it's worthwhile to try r42287.

I've been off for a long time here, I saw where brainslayer was on the git talking about how the new driver has been integrated into dd-wrt but see nothing here. I'm hoping I'm just having old age issues. Any info would be appreciated. Oh the idea was that we wanted to see if ESP devices were now happy.

Yesterdays build thread talked about it; the ESP problem is not solved by replacing the wifi firmware binary.

AFAIK the wifi driver has not been altered, only a swap of the blob.

" BrainSlayer commented 3 days ago

it works. i also added it to dd-wrt already. now the question is if it solves the problem with the esp chipsets"

So I wonder why Brainslayer was discussing ESP?

in reference to "it works" he was discussing this as working in dd-wrt.

Do you follow the Git hub?
I could download a few versions and run code compares but too lazy these days lol.

He was questioning whether it will actually fix the ESP problem or not. Yes I've read too many mwlwifi issues threads. Crying or Very sad

I moved on to R7800 and EA8500 with great QCA radios and driver support. Used EA8500 is so very cheap these days.

WRT3200ACM is a great Ethernet router. Wink It can be repurposed with an external access point (internal radios disabled).

Yesterday's build thread

Looks like the firmware has been updated to 9.3.2.12 (as of 5 hours ago):

https://github.com/kaloz/mwlwifi/tree/master/bin/firmware Confused

And we never know exactly what is being done with drivers, that repo isn't public.

What issues are there with esp based devices? I have 17 wifi bulbs based on esp8266's as well as a handful of self made esp2866 based projects on my network with no issues running the Jan 28th build on wrt1200ac v2

NOTHING to do with a 1200

Linksys version is v9.3.2.8 are these folks using their own numbering system, sorry for the dumb question but it's been a long time since I've looked at this forum.

The advice isn't for you.

Right, this build and yesterday's contain that blob.

You must have access to the driver_repository hard drive/SSD. That is newer than the latest Official Linksys firmware version that was originally posted about.

EDIT: The only two commits that stand out from the driver_repository.log
