Flash my DIR-860L A1 for the first time. I came from OEM firmware DIR860LA1_FW111b01_beta.bin and flashed DD-WRT f/w factory-to-ddrt.bin for the Rev A1 version. Seems the router is bricked? I can't get to either ip address dlinkrouter.local./ or 192.168.0.1

The router flashed the f/w rebooted after 120 seconds, then when it came back on, when to the 120 second page again, counted down to 0, and stayed there.

After awhile, I did the 30/30/30 hard reset, and now the router just stays on with a solid orange light coming from the top LED/Power indicator. no light from the "globe" LED indicator.

Any help would be appreciated.

bad.....very, very bad... Embarassed

1st. yep you are new...and you haven't read a single line, about "how to flash your router with DDWRT"... after flash your router is on 192.168.1.1 not the default 0.1...

2nd.30/30/30 is bad idea on most of the modern routers
in your case as it shows router is stacked in tftp mode/recovery room...

3rd. if normal reset button is not working and you cant see your router at 192.168.1.1, than serial is needed...

4th. best way to start is reading

By doing a 30/30/30 you may have put the router in recovery mode. Set a static up on on your nic.
192.168.0.9, 255.255.255.0, 192.168.0.1
Then open your browser to 192.168.0.1
Or google d-link emergency room.

Did you reset your PC to use dchp for IP address so it gets the right subnet to connect? Embarassed
