Little thing for you I hope:-)

I currently use 4 routers in the following setup

Router 1: Telekom Speedport Hybrid (Internet access)
Is using IP 192.168.2.1
Is serving DHCP range 192.168.2.100-199

Router 2: DD-WRT router is AP
Operating mode is Gateway
WAN connection type disabled
Fix IP is 192.168.2.2
Subnet 255.255.255.0 (all are using this)
Gateway is 192.168.2.1 (=Router 1)
DHCP disabled
Important: I am using here OVPN client and server

Router 3: OpenWRT router
Is also AP only
Fix IP is 192.168.2.3
Gateway is 192.168.2.1 (=Router 1)
DHCP is disabled

Router 4: old FritzBox
same config no DHCP
assigned to Gateway of Router 1

I additionally use approx 60. Tasmota
switches and other devices all using fixed IPs in the range of 192.168.2.01 - 99.
And my problem is that some of these devices are sometimes lost in Intranet, restarting the router next to the devices will recover them but this isn´t a solution I can accept.

So I think that this poor Telekom router is the problem and therefore I would like to move DHCP to my DD-WRT router without loosing functionality like OVPN server and client running on my DD-WRT device.

Is it so simple just switching DHCP OFF in Router1 and switch it ON in Router2 (DD-WRT) or do I need to re-assign the gateway for all other routers or something else?

Thanks a lot
