finally some progress.. r41603 for the first time BS builds have identical latency to kong's, BUT the over 3x cpu usage from wifi radios' sirq is still present. this is in bridge/ap mode, ive not tried nat/qos on r7800 yet as its handled by a diff machine. but something has differently changed (probably the fixing of ticket 6897), and i can actually use BS build now in my usage case.. cpu still needs to be on performance governor. ill give r41603 webflash here to try.

Hi, thx, but ive read it, 5 times actually. One minute i see the 5 ghz network, next i dont. If i put the settings down to 20 mhz, it connects fine. I dont get it, my dlink 882 connected on channel 104 and didnt have any issies. I think it maybe be the firmware version im using. I tried Kongs and i didnt like the 5 and 2 ghz netowkr mixed up. Just trying to find a stable DD-wrt..

Ok, so im using firmware version 41517. Some settings below :

Wireless Mode : AP
Wireless Network Mode : AC/N-Mixed
Channel width : vht160(160mhz)
Wireless channel 104
Extension channel ULL (+2 )

Is this the problem...?

Use VHT80. No clients support 160 Mhz anyway

VHT160 will be a magnet for interference problems; are you sure your airspace is clear for that let alone 80 or 40?

Do have Intel AC 9560 or 9260 adapters or any devices that support it?

You should probably start your own thread about personal install status, configuration experiences and questions. Wink

X100. There are so many threads that need clean-up because of people adding to the wrong thread instead of opening a new thread.

Ok, so i got it at VHT 160 and auto channel. If i got vht 80, my net speed drops to only 70 mbps. A wired connected gets me 300mbps download and 12 upload, wireless is ppor. I actually had more luck with my d-link 882 a1....

Auto channel and Mixed mode is bad. All this reading you do, but you don't pay no attention.

You know what , i come here to ask questions and all you do is moan and flame. In my line of work i get asked the same question over and over again. Right, first off, i have tried 80 instead of 160 and the wifi is slow and shit, i put it on 160 and its fast and im getting 150 mbps. So KERNAL, i have done alot of reading and i have used settings people use on here and those settings dont work for me. 2, why be so moody and clicky. People come for advice, if i wanted to read 10 years of forum posts then i would, hence why people ask questions and try to " short cut" to the problem. And 3 - i can see why KING and others have left here and moved to OPEN WRT. Instead of flaming people try helping them and push them gently in the right places, we aint all wifi/network guru's....
