Unable to upgrade or downgrade netgear wndr3700v3

I have a netgear wndr3700 V3, that has ddwrt v24-30880_NEWD-2_K2.6_mini-WNDR3700v3
on it,
I want to put the original Netgear firmware on it so i can sell it, but when i go to the 'firmware upgrade' tab of ddwrt, and select the netgear file, i hit upload and the scrolling bar goes for about 3 seconds, then the page goes blank and says connection lost.

I have also tried this with other firmwares of ddwrt, and the same thing.
also tried a different internet browser
i have been trying tftp too,

nothing is working, it is stuck on ddwrt 30880

how can i get this back to factory?
