Installing dd-wrt in TP-Link AC1900 Archer A9 v 6.0

The latest listed webflash for the Archer A9 v 6.0 is not listed...it is for Archer A9 v 4.0, which has the name archer-c9v4-webflash.bin. On the A9 when going in with 192.168.0.1 and logging in, there is a settings section, with a firmware upgrade option. When loading the dd-wrt bin file with this firmware upgrade, it refuses to load. It says "Invalid file type". Do I simply have to wait for a v 6 compatible file, or is there a way to use the v4 file?
Or, am I going about this the wrong way?
Thanks for any clues.

According to wikidevi and techinfodepot, the v6 is not a Broadcom device. It is a Qualcomm device, and that chipset isn't supported, either.
