Updated my EA8500 from r40784 to r40854 no reset via GUI with no issues.
I have spotted one thing:
CPU Clock reports 1400/800 even with minimal use.
Anyone else? _________________ ------------------------------------

I'll have to check more in a little while when I get in.....prolly just a webif fluke I reckon cause the router ain't doing much at all right now
or BS may have done sompin with the CPU scaling I didn't notice.

its not an "issue" it was a change to help reduce the horrible latency of ipq806x on k4.x qos.. it was just typo'd for core0 only and not both cores, enter this command to get both cores at max freq.
for CPUFREQ in /sys/devices/system/cpu/cpu*/cpufreq/scaling_governor; do [ -f $CPUFREQ ] || continue; echo -n performance > $CPUFREQ; done
or if u like reduced freq on low load or dont care about wifi throughput/qos, then enter this to return it to ondemand.
for CPUFREQ in /sys/devices/system/cpu/cpu*/cpufreq/scaling_governor; do [ -f $CPUFREQ ] || continue; echo -n ondemand > $CPUFREQ; done _________________ LATEST FIRMWARE(S)

Ah ok.
I tried the second/ondemand command line - no change - still idleing at 1400/800.
Came up with:
sh: eval: line 1: syntax error: unexpected ";" _________________ ------------------------------------

sh: eval: line 1: syntax error: unexpected ";"
in Run Commands via GIU
I'll put it in Startup and reboot....
Edit: ok, now its running 800/800
Torrenting got it back up to 1400/800 then 800/1400 so now all good. _________________ ------------------------------------

you missed something. your qos settings. the bufferbloat results can be very different depending on the scheduler you configured. according to my experiences on a VDSL line i get best results with htb + codel. but this can be different for fiber _________________ "So you tried to use the computer and it started smoking?
