Hello,

I'm using a PPPOE connection on my WAN Interface and I need help adding commands / script to my router that will allow it to request a new IP address if a certain IP Range is given as the address.

The problem I have is my ISP has multiple IP Ranges and certain ones for some reason cause problems with my applications like my Camera DVR every time I'm assigned that series of IP Eg: 45.xxx.xxx.xxx. If I reboot the router until I get some other IP address like a 185.xxx.xxx.xxx. the problem goes away.

They also only assign static IP's in the problem ranges so I need to use DHCP unfortunately.

I've fought long and hard with my ISP and they are unwilling to fix the issue and there is no other ISP available in this area for high speed so I'm left with this dilema of needing a script to check the IP address and request a new one any time an IP in that range shows up.

Please let me know how I might accomplish this.

Thanks,

Steve
