Had a fair bit of issues getting my R7000 to sync with my NTP server running Chrony. I have read a few older posts where this has been an issue for some.

I have my R7000 connected to a Cisco 1921 and a server running a CentOS VM with Chrony on it. All of my devices but the AP could sync with the NTP server. That was even after I upgraded the DD-WRT to the latest update.

What finally fixed it was setting the NTP server on the R7000 to the loopback address on the Cisco Router. Now my Netgear R7000 is pulling time.

Hope this helps someone.
