I've been trying to flash back to the original firmware on my DIR-615 C1 but nothing seems to work. I can upgrade the firmware from the dd-wrt firmware upgrade page, but I can't revert back to the stock firmware. I've tried multiple browsers with different computers. I've tried flashing from the dd-wrt firmware upgrade page and from D-Link's recovery mode page and nothing has worked.

Especially the bit under the heading “How to restore to factory firmware” where it says to use Firefox browser.

I've tried that. I've tried Firefox, Chrome, IE, and Edge. None of which worked.
I had a dir-615 once that could only be flashed back to stock if my pc was in safe mode. Not sure why.
Also, try the earliest stock firmware you can find.
You could try command line flashing maybe. _________________ I am far from a guru, I'm barely a novice.
