Just a simple question. Let's say I have created 10 virtual access points from my 2.4 GHz interface. Would those 10 extra "virtual" SSIDs add noise, make connection worse, etc. to my client devices, the same way as it would happen if my neighbor has 10 extra "real" access points running? Or since my creation are "virtual", it doesn't really matter that I have 10 extra SSIDs in the same channel, as they all are from one single interface and are being "simulated" by it?

noise as in interference, no. increased overhead on the channel from more beacons, yes. which can be reduced by not using 802.11b rates, (as in 6mbps being lowest basic rate and not 1mbps) and increasing beacon interval.
if 10 vaps are running or just 10 aps period, on the same channel all nearby, and all are idle except one, the beacons used to broadcast those ssids will take up more airtime than if there was just one. if multiple of those vaps will be active at any given time, performance will cut in half (or more) if they are all from one radio, as the radio has to quickly alternate taking turns between each. _________________ LATEST FIRMWARE(S) || Qualcomm Atheros Wi-Fi Settings Guide || Qualcomm Atheros Repeating

Even when all access points are idle, each SSID will be transmitting 10 Beacon frames per second, which is not insignificant as Beacon frames are sent at the lowest possible speed. With wireless b enabled you would definitely notice a drop in your wifi speed.
It is probably academic, as I do not think you can add more than a couple of virtual ccess points with DD-WRT.

For the last year I've used five SSIDs for five subnets. Three of those are VAPs. _________________ Six of the Linksys WRT1900ACSv2 on r38159, r39144, r40009, and r40784. On various:
VLANs, client-mode travel router, two DNSCrypt servers (incl Quad9), multiple VAPs, USB/NAS, QoS, OpenVPN client/PBR (old=NordVPN, new=AirVPN).
