I've read and asked everywhere about getting some help setting up my XR500 with Nordvpn. Long story short I need someone to really dumb it down for me and provide me with a step by step on how to get Nordvpn to work to its fullest potential on my router. We just moved to Malaysia and my kids play a lot of multiplayer Xbox one games. Problem is the servers here will keep them in a cue lobby forever if ever they get enough players to even start a match. I need to fool the Xbox ones into thinking we are still in the US. I've see links on how to flash my router ect….but reading all the info is like speaking Chinese to me. If someone would be willing to help I'm sure we could come to a mutually beneficial agreement if I can get the results I need. I use nordvpn on all my other devices, firesticks, hulu, Netflix but would really just like to use it on the router so my whole home is on one ID. Please help this dad whos exhausted and cant listen to the kiddos driving me nuts about their games anymore.

seems straight forward, i dont have/use vpn services other than my own to home so i cant try it.. but looks much more english than the alien speak that is openvpn

NordVPN is easy to setup on a DDWRT router:

If you only want the XBox on the VPN you can use Policy Based Routing (PBR) can send you some pointers if needed

But be warned your troughput is not much more than 90 Mb/s on VPN

But you need DDWRT on your router and I do not know how support is for the XR500, there is a build from BS:
