Upgraded WRT1200AC v1 from r40134 to r40443 with no issues using Waterfox 56.2.12 (64 bit) running on Linux Mint 19.1 OS. No manual partition change prior to update with no reversion to previous. Last few releases reverted immediately. Usual yellows in syslog with no reds.
Uptime about 30 minutes. Manual config of OpenVPN client using ExpressVPN connected and seems stable with no wired or wireless drops so far.

Did not try r40439. r40443 was already out by the time I was ready to flash so... Skipped one.
****** Adding noticed problem to posting *******
Ok, I've noticed with r40443, that my internet connection sporadically disconnects and times out connections. At first I thought it was due to an ISP issue, however, when I backed out r40443 and returned to 40400, the problem went away.
Let me know if anyone else notices that please.

Tried to upgrade to 40443,
ubootenv set boot_part 1
then update firmware via the UI.
No joy, the system just reverts to 40400 and reboot.
Then I had issues with 40400 not starting the 5Ghz WiFi,
and not starting the WAN,
corrected this using telnet, using a wired connection to the router:
startservice wan
ifconfig ath1 down
wait a few seconds, then
ifconfig ath1 up _________________ Linksys WRT1900AC V1
ubootenv set boot_part 1
then update firmware via the UI.
If you done that and installed thru the GUI then it would have tried to install to part 2
ubootenv set boot_part opposite of what you are currently on if you want to install to the boot_part you are currently on ......that way it will install just like any ol dumb router
you can also run this command
ubootenv set boot_part 2
in the gui, then run reboot behind it to switch to partition 2 for example and after it boots back up then flash from there. I keep a stable older build on partition 2, So i use this method a bunch.
OR..........
you can go the telnet or ssh method.
Login user is root
password is your router password
ubootenv set boot_part 2
cd /tmp
wget ftp://ftp.dd-wrt.com/betas/2019/ Rest of path to firmware
write ddwrtFIRMWARENAME linux
reboot
Using the telnet/ssh method will flash it because its only the GUI having a fit with partition 2 and firmware size issues. _________________ Downloads:

From my own testing, even though the flash in cli does not return any error, when you try to boot into partition 2, it won't boot successfully and will boot back into partition 1 instead so the flash update is failure for partition 2 regardless of flash thru webui or cli. _________________

Not sure but have you tried the GUI and done the flash from there, as I understand Linksys all ways flash the other partition then the active one?
But I am not 100% sure, so don't get after me if goes wrong!
Tried upgrading from 40134 to 40443 on my WRT1200ACv1, and it failed. It reverted to 40134.
It appears that I'm on boot partition number 1. Not sure how to proceed.
