Hello.

I have OpenVPN client on Tp link Archer c7 v5 EU (DD-WRT v3.0-r40260 std (07/09/19) without cipher and lzo, but I have a huge load on CPU (over 80%) from this openvpn client. Through the tunnel goes up to 10-15 Mbits. What is wrong in my config?

Client Config:
    remote <remote_IP>
    proto udp
    port <remote-port>
    dev tap0
    keepalive 10 120
    auth none
    cipher none
    sndbuf 0
    rcvbuf 0
    mssfix 0
    push "sndbuf 393216"
    push "rcvbuf 393216"
    tun-mtu 9000
    txqueuelen 1000
    comp-lzo no
    daemon

Server Config:

    local <Server IP>
    proto udp
    port <Port IP>
    dev tap
    cipher none
    auth none
    verb 3
    script-security 2
    comp-lzo no
    sndbuf 0
    rcvbuf 0
    mssfix 0
    push "sndbuf 393216"
    push "rcvbuf 393216"
    tun-mtu 9000
    txqueuelen 1000

P.S. or is it a problem in the processor? Maybe then recommend a router that will cope with such a bandwith?

The C7v5 has a pretty lackluster single core CPU that any VPN client is going to easily overload/max out.
https://wikidevi.com/wiki/TP-LINK_Archer_C7_v5.x

CPU1: Qualcomm Atheros QCA9563 (750 MHz)
FLA1: 16 MiB (GigaDevice GD25Q128CSIG)
RAM1: 128 MiB (ESMT M14D1G1664A-2.5B)

If you want decent VPN performance you'll need to use a router with a more powerful CPU; like the R7800:
https://wikidevi.com/wiki/Netgear_R7800.

Even on the R7800, OpenVPN really throttles the CPU.

If you must have the best performance, you'll need to use your phone/laptop/pc and the VPN's app/software to get better performance than the C7v5.
