Also i uploaded image for a second time on first Pc (amd/nvidia) through lan-cable and was no problem at all.
Tftpd32 ready to upload, router - power off, power on then quick pressed the 30/30/30-button till the "sevice-led" blinked fast and autoupload...
"Hands-free" Smile)))))))

Tryed through jtag-cables and ttl-usb - no responses.
Maibe another time will play again with this.

BEST: use lan-cable (udp) and no other soldering stuff !
Hurray !!! Very Happy

Hi TendaW311R+ and vladtheodor,

I have also bricked my TL-WR1043ND and would like to recover it following your steps. But there are two issues:

1) My model is TL-WR1043ND ver 2.1 and I'm not sure I will find the right recovery file or if there is recovery in the bootloader. But I will continue Google for the right firmware...

2) In the PDF manual it's written to press & hold the Reset button, but vladtheodor quick pressed it. Which one is the correct action?

BTW, I tried to hold Reset for 30s(on)/30s(off)/30s(on) and nothing happened but the device continues to restart...

Regards,
Ivo

if the TFTP method worked it must have been v.1.8 or higher, since v.1.0 does not support this recovery feature... (read on another forum: TFTP recovery wasn’t part of the Uboot (without needing serial) until v1.8 )

I'm trying to debrick v.1.0, which was running DD-WRT but bricked after trying to update to newer version, TFTP method is not working, tried with Wireshark to scan, there's no ARP request to pull firmware from any IP... keeps bootlooping over and over...

I have a JTAG 10pin to DB25 cable, bought in the past for Motorola SB5100 modem, assuming Blackcat, can I use this cable to make connection to serial console TX, RX and GND?

many thanks for your help!

UPDATE:
bought USB-TLL adapter for 4USD and flashed through Serial console, working fine again, though I'm wondering whether it's normal to see message "No valid address in Flash. Using fixed address" in Putty log?

Hi, i tried to unbrick my WR1043ND v1 with this tftp server.

At first i've tried method from this link:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IHNrnLnLakE

but i've made a mistake in addres at first attempt.

instead of "erase 0xbf020000 +7c0000" i wrote "7e0000"

idk that was a problem. But router now reseting with the same comunicate like in first post.

I have the boot log from serial port via putty and it's looping like:

Quote:
U-Boot 1.1.4 (Mar 31 2012 - 10:40:21)

AP83 (ar9100) U-boot 0.0.11
DRAM:
sri
32 MB
id read 0x100000ff
flash size 8MB, sector count = 128
Flash: 8 MB
Using default environment

In: serial
Out: serial
Err: serial
Net: ag7100_enet_initialize...
No valid address in Flash. Using fixed address

eth0: 00:03:7f:09:0b:ad
eth0 up
eth0
Autobooting in 1 seconds## Booting image at bf020000 ...
Uncompressing Kernel Image ... Error: Bad gzipped data
GUNZIP ERROR - must RESET board to recover

Resetting...▒

U-Boot 1.1.4 (Mar 31 2012 - 10:40:21)

I've made a server on 192.168.0.66, but problem is pushing reset button (or WPS or both) give no result.

Have any idea where is a problem?[/quote]

hi , cant confirm this 1.8+ requirement statement as it worked on my 1043_v1 (H/W 1.2 revision) flawlessly with the steps described here :
https://forum.dd-wrt.com/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?p=1283563#1283563

If others come across just give it a try it seems this TFTP recovery is hardcoded from 1.0/1.1+ revisions as many ppl confirm...
