Hello all! I recently purchased an asus rt-ac1750 and am trying to use it to repeat a wifi signal hidden behind a captive portal (Xfinitywifi). I mistakenly flashed John's latest fork thinking that it would do the job. Apparently I was wrong. Now I've learned that I need ddwrt firmware to accomplish this. What is the latest build for my device (ac66r)? Also is it safe to flash over John's Merlin fork or will I need to revert to stock firmware?
If you have the newer model with non removable antenna, you’ll need the firmware fir the rt-ac68u. _________________ I am far from a guru, I'm barely a novice.
I’m not sure which build is best. I would check the new release threads. I still use 26318 on mine but it’s set up as a client bridge.
You can flash from John’s fork or Merlin’s but you may have to flash it from the recovery mode. _________________ I am far from a guru, I'm barely a novice.
