Hi..

I'don't have this router yet, I want to buy it, but..
with original Asus firmware it has "universal repeater" mode. Someone know if "client bridge" and "repeater bridge" mode work with some version of DD-WRT firmware ? Rolling Eyes

thanks

I've tried flashing with the dd-wrt Kong Mod and it's working fine.

Does anybody knows that if the black version is supported by the same firmwares?
From wiki page I found that it has a Broadcom BCM5356 instead of Broadcom BCM5357. Can this be a problem?
I want to buy this router and I cannot test it before. Also I don't have much experience with dd-wrt.
Thanks in advance.

Thanks for helping me choosing this router. I'm very pleased about his performances.
But I have a problem accessing Setup/Networking tab. It only shows me a white page with 'DD-WRT Control Panel' text, some dots and some lines. After this I cannot access any other page from dd-wrt, not even using the browsers back button for few minutes. After some minutes everything works, except this tab.
I have this problem using the current mini(19342), current big(19342) and current mega(19342) builds.
Does anybody have this problem? Is there any known bug or solution?

I have Asus rt-n10u the black model, with Broadcom BCM5357 chip rev 2.
Thanks in advance.

Hi, I also have Asus rt-n10u the black model, with Broadcom BCM5357 chip rev 2. But I use the ddwrt firmware for rt-n10u_black. Everything seems fine. Or do I should use the ddwrt firmware for rt-n10u?.. The only problem: When I try to set mac address through Administration Commands it says nvram lock, waiting.... But mac spoofing works fine through Mac address clone. Erase nvram I did before and after... Why nvram is locked?..

The version of firmware: DD-WRT v3.0-r37305 mega (10/10/1Cool

Tried formatting with ext2 and ext3 without success - only to find that there is no modules found at /lib/modules/3.10.108-d6 .. Only vfat.ko and msdos.ko and fat.ko can be found. Can you please address this problem in the next build? And could someone please provide ext4.ko for me?

EXT2, 3, and 4 support in that kernel is not included in the firmware due to the 8MB flash size limitation. Only way to make it work is to reformat to one of those filesystem types. To add the kernel module for that, you'll either wind up putting it in /tmp and having to re-install / re-load every reboot, or do some kind of dual-partition scheme on your usb drive and run scripts.

I'm willing to script it and put small fat volume there. Who uses f.ex archaic and redundant msdos.ko module anyway for NAS?
But could you or someone put a link to the ext4.ko module, I cannot compile it myself now. Would be appreciated.

As best I understand it, you have to use opkg or ipkg to install it. The exact kernel version doesn't match, but here's the link to the .ipk file from OpenWRT:

http://archive.openwrt.org/barrier_breaker/14.07/brcm47xx/mips74k/packages/base/kmod-fs-ext4_3.10.49-1_brcm47xx.ipk

Thanks for the link! Tried to install it after tranferring it to the router with ipkg (ipkg install kmod-fs-ext4_3.10.49-1_brcm47xx.ipk) after which tried to insmod. No notifications, or other response but nothing was shown in lsmod. Any suggestions?
