Hello,

my default config as follows

nvram show | grep vlan.*ports | sort

vlan0ports=3 2 1 0 5*
vlan1ports=4 5
vlan2ports=5

nvram show | grep port.*vlans | sort

not found

nvram show | grep vlan.*hwname | sort

vlan0hwname=et0
vlan1hwname=et0

Can someone advise on how to configure each port for VLAN subnet except WAN ?

Thanks

https://wiki.dd-wrt.com/wiki/index.php/Switched_Ports

But I think you can just do this from the GUI: Setup/VLANS

Just put each port on a separate VLAN, Assign to Bridge: None.
Now each port is on its own VLAN/bridge.

Goto Setup/Networking unbridge the VLAN and enter the IP address
Do not forget to attach a DHCPd server on each VLAN (bottom of the page)

Reboot when done

2019.3.118 beta FreshTomato should be dropping in the next day or two. I'm running a locally-compiled test build of it at the moment on one of my E4200 v1s. The FT development and build environment is much easier to work with.

FT is Broadcom-only. Not sure if any other custom firmware is available for MediaTek devices besides DD-WRT. That RT-N12VP B1 is so new, I can't find any data on it quickly.

That's kind of difficult to say without 100% of the hardware data, especially flash and ram chipset info and sizes, among other things. And I wouldn't attempt flashing another device's firmware file without means of recovery or serial console attached.

Anyway newer RT-N12 VP B1 has some king of protection, it doesnt allow to flash third party firmware via firmware upgrade.
I have been trying to flash Tomato-Phoenix - no success.
If i am right Tomato Phoenix intended for Mediatek chips and should fit my router without arguing but instead i get error message.

That seems to be the norm these days, manufacturer's locking down their firmware to reject 3rd party firmware. Not sure if you can use any kind of recovery process to override that, but that would be the only option if you can't flash via OEM firmware upgrade Rolling Eyes Crying or Very sad Wink Cool

And yes, Tomato Phoenix is for MediaTek hardware. From what I read, it's a port of OpenWRT with a Tomato webUI. I am just unsure of what specific hardware is supported.

Actually check out https://forum.dd-wrt.com/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=275902&postdays=0&postorder=asc&start=180 A easy way to do is to go into recovery mode (turn off the router, hold in the reset switch with a paperclip while powering it up, when the power light blinks on 5 seconds off 5 seconds release and go to 192.168.1.1 and flash it that way. There is a little more too it like clearing the settings but it works. Smile Another method is to downgrade the ASUS firmware, then flash via the usual config pages.

Hi everyone,
Does RT-N12 support SNMP ?

I just installed older dd-wrt builds but i am missing SNMP.
I want to use this router to monitor traffic.

Router:
ASUS RT-N12 D1

Tested: K2.6 Firmware: DD-WRT v3.0-r39267 big (03/22/19) - SNMP not available
Tested: K3.X Firmware: DD-WRT v3.0-r39267 Mega (03/22/19) - SNMP not available

Thanks.

Probably not, but the current release is 51530 and the router database does not have current releases.

https://ftp.dd-wrt.com/dd-wrtv2/downloads/betas/2023/01-29-2023-r51530/broadcom_K26/

https://ftp.dd-wrt.com/dd-wrtv2/downloads/betas/2023/01-29-2023-r51530/broadcom_K3X/

Also, maybe a mod will kindly split your hijack out of this thread and edit the subject of the OP to reflect that this thread is not for your router, it is for a currently unsupported device.

EDIT - The following tech data confirms earlier unknown details of the RT-N12 VP B1 / RT-N12+ B1 (and others):

Yes i know it doesn't support SNMP on stock firmware.
But dd-wrt firmare should support it ?

I am talking in general for dd-wrt versions on RT-N12 based routers ( all versions ).
Did dd-wrt support SNMP on any version for router RT-N12?
