Now, if you want to push it further than that, I am not sure if it can be done as the wireless driver/firmware has the maximum setting allowed built into it. Say you set it at 70 when the regulatory max is 30, it will only go as high as 30. _________________ Tutorial for flashing WRT series WRT Installation,Upgrade & Basic Setup–Cliff Notes

What is the max TX power for the WRT-3200ACM ? the default is 30 db
On mine the default power settings are 199mW for 5GHz and 1000mW on the 2.4GHz band. The latter figure seems to be the maximum selectable for either band.
As the thing is working satisfactorily, I have left well alone!

My wall-mounted thermostat didn't have enough signal strength to reliably connect to my mesh network. When I turned up the TX power to 251mW, all of a sudden it could. Score. Means I don't need to spend a Saturday running Cat5 on my exterior wall to light up a new access point. Yay!

30dbm is the MAX these things will do, at least in the US, and likely most other countries. 30dbm is 1 WATT. Lower (23dbm) on a select number of channels in the 5GHz band You can put whatever larger number in there that you want, but the hardware will not go over the legal limit. Look at your System Information page and you will see what your router is actually transmitting at in the wireless box.
Also increasing the transmit power at the router does not solve issues where a client device does not have enough transmit power. Think of it as two people yelling at each other from ends of a football field, but only one person has a megaphone (your boosted transmit power router) sure now the person at the other end of the field can hear you, but you still can barely hear them because they don't have a megaphone too.

Will it run at less, or is it locked at 30? I read in a few places there are benefits to going lower, if possible?

Can anyone tell me what the max tx power is for a UK version? I've read on the forum that tx power is hard coded but I'm not sure if it's hard coded to max out based on u.s.regulations or specific to the region bought. Basically I'm trying to work out if DD wrt will help me with WiFi range before installing and loosing my settings because it's terrible on stock firmware. Big thanks for everyone's help.
