New guy here. So recently I purchased an R7000, installed DD-WRT firmware on it (v3.0-r39960M kongac test version of 06/08/19, and got VLAN 300 (ISP T-Mobile requires this) up and running with a startup script with a few tweaks here and there. However, my ISP can deliver over 750mbps, which I can get if I use their modem, but on the R7000 it comes closer to 500mbps...

Now I've read that the Netgear firmware has/had similar problems, and the DD-WRT is software acceleration instead of hardware, but I have to be sure... is there anything I'm missing? Some sort of setting, tweak or command that could give me my full speed back?

Thanks in advance for any help, insight, answer or explanation. I'm also open to just purchasing a brand new router if need be to fix this injustice, and could use a suggestion.

EDIT: I'm blind and for all those wondering, I forgot to "Enable" Shortcut Forwarding Engine (SFE).

I presume SFE is enabled on the Setup page? Did you reset after flashing to DD? `nvram erase && reboot` from telnet/ssh. Otherwise, use IPv6 or overclock.

OEM is also software acceleration; Broadcom's proprietary CTF. DD uses Qualcomm's open-source SFE.

Dude you rock, I was totally blindsighted that I forgot to turn it on. I really thought I did. It works now, thanks!
