Routers: Netgear R9000 / R7800
Firmware: DD-WRT v3.0-r40065 std (06/20/19)
Reset: No
Issues: Recent Mesh updates messed up encryption. Now it works only without encryption. All were working fine in r40009, except the VHT160 / VHT(80+80) mode connections.

A bit ago on the main router WNDR3700v4 in the webif page '../index.asp' I enabled Recursive DNS Resolving (Unbound) and everything went to shit.
NO wired, NO wireless, had to do a power cycle.
Unbound is now working just fine but I also had click 'Apply Settings' in '../NAS.asp' before smaba worked ---
--- and then had to click 'Apply Settings' in '../QoS.asp' to get QOS working.
Everything is all working just fine...... but it wouldn't be worth a damnu for people that have the router set to reboot on its own at any certain time http://www.dslreports.com/speedtest/51102725
bs build r40080 same affinities as kong build (all to core 0 except wan to core 1): https://www.dslreports.com/speedtest/51129346 at least fixes the speed, latency is slightly better than before, still a wreck..

r40080 fixed samba & QOS startup after reboot on all these units except the WRT160NL....
....still have to 'Apply Settings' in ../NAS.asp after reboot to make samba work on it
you guys , talk about a version 40080 . where i can find it ?
Not sure if BS will make public release of it.
AND I may have spoke to soon about samba ----
It starts and works ok on WNDR3700v4 main router and WNDR3700v4 switch but I found out later the EA8500 switch samba doesn't start after a power cycle.
Weird that samba started fine after the GUI install.
I checked simple reboot with the EA8500 switch and NO samba don't start.
I also installed on EA8500 main router config but not currently using and samba did NOT start after installing on it.
r40080 maybe still needs some work

every single bs build for ipq806x has performed like this since this damn k4.x switch, years ago. it clearly has zero priority in the dev team. _________________ LATEST FIRMWARE(S)

I have an asus RT-AC56R. r40065 did not work at all the router never came back up. I had to go into recovery and go back to r40048. This was an upgrade path not fresh.
