Hi all.
I have created a WiFi guest Network that works like a charm. Isolated from private network and PiHole for DNS.
But now I am in a situation that i extended this guest Network using powerline adapter but I can't broadcast both private and guest SSID so I have chosen to broadcast guest only since it was initially created for guests.

But now I want to have my personal clients to have full blown network access, access to my private network via guest SSID.

I'm using dnsmasq to have fixed ip's for my clients but since guest is using a different ip range I'm stuck there because I thought to create firewall rules for my client only using iptables.

Any ideas on how to accomplish above situation?

Might help if you provided a bit more detail here concerning the powerline adapter. It's not clear how this adapter (being powerline) is connected to the guest AP. Does it support its own wireless client to the guest AP? Or is the guest AP part of a bridge (e.g., br1) that also has a wired port, to which the powerline adapter is patched? Again, you need to be more specific.

In general, it doesn't make sense to try to extend the private network via the guest network. And that *sounds* like what you're trying to do. The private network should be extended via its own repeater (or its own powerline adapter(s)). But trying to access the private network via the guest network is just bad design. It appears to be an attempt to minimize the necessary hardware, but it will lead to endless problems.

Yeah you might be right regarding the design.
I'll just plugin some extra hardware to accomplish what i want, thanks anyway Wink
