Hi folks, I use X64 based DD-WRT with VirtualBox. All working good accept my new IPTV boxe.

When I disable Multicast filter, the IPTV work great but I have a lot of packets spreaded in my network.

Can I isolate it with mac, IP or other things my IPTV boxe in my network?
or stop the multicasting packet flooding, use it only for my IPTV boxe?

Thanks!

Only a few people use the x86 or the x64 bit versions of dd-wrt the rest of them use it on a routers made by various manufactures.

I would use dd-wrt on real hardware and not with a virtual box setup.

I have an Android TV box and it loves trying to connect to a server located in China with over 2000 connections which takes awhile for it to give up.

How many interfaces are there on the dd-wrt router?

Do you have a switch in your network?

With a smart switch, you can enable IGMP-snooping on specific ports.

The IGMPproxy on the dd-wrt router can also be configured by the igmpproxy.conf file.

Thanks guys, Razz

I using a PC with virtualbox because I can use the same PC for others things, like a FTP Windows server. This PC don't have Internet access, only Local. I have a 16 ports switch connected on the Lan port. This switch is not smart, can't use IGMP. Can you explain to me how make a Vlan (tag) or use the igmpproxy.conf ?

Here is an example of igmpproxy.conf

Code:
quickleave
phyint eth0 upstream  ratelimit 0  threshold 1
phyint br0 downstream  ratelimit 0  threshold 1
phyint eth1 disabled
phyint eth1.3 downstream  ratelimit 0  threshold 1
phyint ath0 disabled
phyint ath0.1 disabled
phyint ath1 disabled
phyint br1 disabled
phyint oet1 disabled
phyint lo disabled

You have one upstream interface or either downstream or disabled interfaces.

If your switch is not smart, it will treat multicast as broadcast and forward to every port.
